Thrombosis Research is the Official Journal of ETRO and membership of ETRO includes online subscription to the journal | Thrombosis Research is an international journal with a goal of rapid dissemination of new information on thrombosis, hemostasis, and vascular biology to advance science and clinical care. The journal publishes peer-reviewed original research, along with reviews, editorials, and opinions and critics. Both basic and clinical studies are published. Publication of research which will lead to novel approaches in diagnosis, therapy, prognosis and prevention of thrombotic and hemorrhagic diseases is given high priority. Rapid communication and high visibility is facilitated by on-line submission, processing, and dissemination through Science Direct with powerful on-line links to other journals and sources. |
ETRO aims to facilitate -scientific exchange between the participating institutions, -organization of scientific meetings and workshops, -coordination of specific research activities and joint research projects, -provision of information on equipment and methods in the member laboratories -encouragement of a visitor exchange program -establishment of contacts with other organizations, authorities and institutions with an interest in thrombosis and haemostasis. To this end ETRO organises 1. Working parties on a number of selected hot topics, where interested researchers and clinicians meet each other to coordinate actions. 3. Travel grants for the facilitation of visitor's exchange between european laboratories working in the field of thrombosis and haemostasis, and to acquire new methods and techniques. In addition ETRO is at the moment setting up the Federation of European Thrombosis and Haemostasis Organisations, a structure in which the different National Thrombosis and Haemostasis Organisations of all European countries are provided with a forum to coordinate their actions and to have a stronger impact at the european level.
